Summary
The Baggage Service Supervisor is responsible for all issues related to baggage handling operations on a shift basis.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee baggage operations in all terminals during shift
- Ensure staffs complied with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and airlines’ requirement
- Ensure baggage equipment’s are serviceable for operation
- Ensure Baggage Presentation Time is achieved as per Changi Airport Group (CAG) standard Ground Operations Efficiency Monitor (GOEM)
- Conduct daily shift briefing to the team on safety, latest procedure, and requirement
- Provide mentorship/counselling on staff with objective to attain better performance
- Ensure manpower is sufficient on shift and liaise with Service Partner for assistance
- Manage staff roster and overtime
- Investigate and submit Incident/Accident Report to Head of Department
- Handle Very Important Person (VIP) and Private Jets if necessary, including operate baggage tractor to tow/deliver bags to the various Terminals or aircrafts
- Collate airlines statistic monthly report on Mishandling Baggage (MHB)
- Ensure compliance with all workplace safety, security, and health policies and procedure
- Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned by the reporting manager or department head
Requirements
- Minimum GCE “O” level and above
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in baggage handling
- Minimum 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
- Knowledge of SITA’s Bag Message, Common Use Terminal Equipment (CUTE) and / or Departure Control System (DCS) is preferable
