Business Planning & Performance Manager

Summary

The Business Planning Manager is a key member of the Business Planning & Performance team at dnata Singapore. This individual will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and ongoing management of business plans, performance metrics, and strategic initiatives. The role will involve working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to analyze business performance, drive improvements, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Business Planning & Strategy: Lead the development of business plans, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives. Work with key stakeholders to define clear goals and performance targets.
  • Performance Management: Design, track, and evaluate business performance metrics (KPIs) to measure the success of business strategies. Proactively monitor and report on performance trends, identifying areas for improvement and recommending corrective actions.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret performance data to provide actionable insights for business improvement. Prepare regular performance reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key issues, opportunities, and performance trends.
  • Operational Performance Monitoring: Collaborate with operations teams to assess and enhance operational efficiency. Identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities to drive better performance and profitability.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with various teams (finance, operations, HR, etc.) to support business planning, ensuring that performance goals are met and strategies are executed effectively.
  • Market & Competitive Analysis: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor performance, and market changes to provide strategic insights that support the company’s growth and competitiveness.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential business risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies to address challenges related to business performance and operations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by recommending best practices, identifying gaps in business processes, and supporting initiatives to enhance organizational performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business planning, performance management, or strategic planning within a corporate or operational environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Proficient in business intelligence tools and performance tracking systems (e.g., Excel, Power BI) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present findings to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on operational performance improvement.
  • Experience in the aviation, logistics, or related industries is an advantage.
