dnata Operations Control Centre Supervisor

Summary

The Operations Control Centre Supervisor is responsible for the Ground Handling activity on all dnata handled flights to achieve a safe and timely flight operation that meets the dnata and customer airline’s requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Acts as the focal point of contact on the day of operations of a flight, makes the required decisions and provides guidance to Services Delivery Teams.
  • Collate all operational messages and communicate regularly with respective Service Delivery Teams and Flight In-charge to ensure message delivered and flight requirement are covered.
  • Implements day-to-day operations and ensures compliance with the established standards and procedures.
  • Monitors the precision time schedule of flight activities and requirement (including non-schedule, chartered flights) to ensure that the team of the day operations are checked, informed and updated on progress and/or changes / challenges.
  • Take immediate action to rectify irregular operations through deployment of resources, formulation and communication of recovery plans to optimize turnaround performance.
  • Complies with all relevant, safety, quality, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
  • Builds and maintains relationship with internal and external departments to ensure that requirement and service standards are met and satisfaction are enhanced.
  • Manage CAG Airport Collaborative Decision Making (ACDM) TOBT (Target Off Block Time) processes.
  • Manage unexpected events and emergency situations in accordance with Company standard operating procedures. Co-ordinate with all internal personnel and external emergency responders and direct activities to mitigate the event.
  • Produce regular reports on the performance of the day operation.
  • Ensure compliance with all workplace safety, security, and health policies and procedure
  • Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned by the reporting manager or department head

Requirements

  • Minimum ‘O’ Level or Diploma from a recognized tertiary institution
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in aviation industry or Operations Control Centre in another industry
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience with excellent communications skills
