Head of Marketing & Communications

 

Position Overview:

The Head of Marketing & Communications plays a pivotal role in driving the company’s strategic objectives through integrated marketing and communications initiatives.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this position collaborates closely with internal divisions and Head Office to ensure alignment and champion the company’s brand identity and messaging across all channels.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive schedule of marketing, communications, and customer relations initiatives aligned with business priorities.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on marketing, communications, and event activities to senior management.

Marketing:

  • Lead the development and execution of marketing campaigns that support strategic business goals and target client acquisition.
  • Collaborate with the business development team to create innovative marketing materials and support their initiatives.
  • Manage brand identity and ensure consistency across all marketing touchpoints.

Communications:

  • Work with internal subject matter experts, division leaders, and external partners to communicate departmental activities effectively.
  • Drive internal communication platforms to keep staff informed and engaged with company objectives.
  • Manage external corporate communications and media relations, fostering positive relationships with press and industry publications.
  • Enhance social media effectiveness and integrate campaigns with marketing initiatives.

Customer Engagement:

  • Develop and execute a customer engagement calendar in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Plan and manage events and engagement touchpoints that enhance brand awareness and foster positive customer relationships.

Sponsorship & Vendor Management:

  • Identify sponsorship opportunities aligned with industry relevance to enhance brand visibility.
  • Select, manage, and negotiate agreements with external agencies and vendors to support marketing activities effectively.

Budgeting & Stakeholder Management:

  • Plan, compile, and report on annual marketing budgets, ensuring prudent expenditure.
  • Build and maintain relationships with operational leaders and key stakeholders to integrate marketing efforts across the organization.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Marketing, Communications, or PR degree from a recognized institution.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • 5+ years of experience in Marketing & Communications with a multinational company.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present ideas effectively to senior management.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing brand-marketing campaigns.
  • Strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple projects under pressure.
  • Thorough knowledge of the travel industry is advantageous.
