Inflight Retail Senior/ Manager

 

Primary Objectives

dnata Catering & Retail is contracted with Jetstar Asia (3K) to act as Retail Management Partner for all commercial and operational aspects of the airlines in-flight retail program.

The role of Inflight Retail Senior Manager Jetstar Asia is accountable for the delivery of all contracted services in Singapore and across the Jetstar Asia network. The position provides visible leadership for supplier partners and customer teams to ensure supply chain and final mile performance is constantly meeting and exceeding Jetstar Asia’s expectations.

The Inflight Retail Senior Manager Jetstar Asia is responsible for ensuring the safe & efficient delivery of 3K’s in-flight retail program, and for delivering innovation & business improvement, to continuously enhance profit performance and customer satisfaction.

 

Specific Accountabilities

Leadership

  • Develop collaborative working partnerships with customer stakeholders and supplier partners, to share expertise and experience, provide support, and inspire the consistent delivery of services to the highest levels of safety, security, quality and productivity
  • To own and manage professional & productive relationships with regulatory authorities, Jetstar Asia and supply partners
  • To lead the development of strategies that deliver the agreed standards & specifications for the current business, and ensuring innovation & business improvement in product development, supply chain management, and final mile catering services, for future business
  • Identify targets for business improvement and coach & direct the Retail Team Jetstar Asia to deliver them, building personal development pathways for everyone to ensure succession planning for continuity and coverage
  • Motivate and inspire team members by creating an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort

General

  • To ensure the Retail Management Partner (3K) team meets and continuously improves contracted service levels
  • Produce clear and concise management reports & data (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual) to demonstrate service levels are being satisfied
  • Contracted service levels include, but are not limited to:
    • Retail Management Commercial Performance
    • Contract Management & Reporting
    • Crew Reporting (OSCARS)
    • Quality Assurance
    • Regulatory Compliance
    • Operational Service Levels & KPIs
    • Ramp Safety Service Levels
    • Food Safety Service Levels
    • Aviation Safety (AVSEC) Service Levels
  • Role model dnata Catering & Retail values for providing safe, reliable and high-quality air services while maintaining a culture that promotes imagination and respect
  • Maintain a complete understanding and adherence to dnata Catering & Retail policies & procedures
  • Carry out additional duties as may be reasonably requested by Senior Management

Key Performance Indicators

  1. Ensure all work and projects comply with Company Standards and other Regulatory Standards.
  2. Meet agreed timelines.
  3. Complete all planned audits and other scheduled inspections.
  4. Conduct regular team reviews, recording outcomes and development planning.
  5. Ensure document control across the airline client, dnata Catering & Retail, and suppliers is up to date.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of operational experience in Inflight Retail or Airline Catering.
  • Tertiary degree in a related area desired.
  • High-level business-to-business relationship management skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Strategic focus and ‘Change Manager’ competencies.
  • Professional accreditation or qualification in Basic Food Safety.
  • Awareness of HACCP and OH&S.
  • Experience managing a diverse group of stakeholders and suppliers in a high-volume, high-value environment.
  • Competent in documentation and records management.
  • Ability to develop and deliver training programs.
  • Ability to develop and oversee the delivery of projects
