Inventory Management Coordinator (Automotive)
Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Storeman/Inventory Management Staff. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels, and facilitating efficient supply chain management. This role is critical to maintaining a seamless flow of goods and materials within the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities

- Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including stock-in and stock-out transactions.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile variances between physical stock and system records.
- Monitor and track inventory movements to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Order Processing
- Process and fulfill internal requisitions for materials and supplies.
- Coordinate with suppliers to place orders, track deliveries, and ensure timely receipt of goods.
- Verify received items against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies.
- Warehousing and Organization
- Organize and maintain the warehouse to optimize space and facilitate easy access to items.
- Implement a systematic arrangement for efficient storage and retrieval of goods.
- Ensure compliance with safety and security standards in the warehouse.
- Documentation
- Generate and maintain accurate documentation related to inventory transactions, including packing lists, delivery receipts, and stock transfer records.
- Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, consumption patterns, and order fulfilment.
- Quality Control
- Conduct regular quality checks on incoming goods to ensure adherence to specified standards.
- Report and address any issues related to damaged or defective items promptly.
- Collaboration
- Collaborate with other departments, including procurement and finance, to coordinate inventory-related activities.
- Communicate effectively with team members to address inventory-related queries and concerns.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in inventory management and implement best practices.
- Participate in the development and enhancement of inventory management policies and procedures
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in inventory management or a related field is a plus
- Proven experience in inventory management or a similar role
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Proficient in the use of inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts) is desirable.
- Spoken and written fluency in English is mandatory; spoken and written fluency in Mandarin (as a second language) would be preferred
