Inventory Management Coordinator (Automotive)

 

Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Storeman/Inventory Management Staff. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels, and facilitating efficient supply chain management. This role is critical to maintaining a seamless flow of goods and materials within the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including stock-in and stock-out transactions.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile variances between physical stock and system records.
  • Monitor and track inventory movements to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
  • Order Processing
  • Process and fulfill internal requisitions for materials and supplies.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to place orders, track deliveries, and ensure timely receipt of goods.
  • Verify received items against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies.
  • Warehousing and Organization
  • Organize and maintain the warehouse to optimize space and facilitate easy access to items.
  • Implement a systematic arrangement for efficient storage and retrieval of goods.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and security standards in the warehouse.
  • Documentation
  • Generate and maintain accurate documentation related to inventory transactions, including packing lists, delivery receipts, and stock transfer records.
  • Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, consumption patterns, and order fulfilment.
  • Quality Control
  • Conduct regular quality checks on incoming goods to ensure adherence to specified standards.
  • Report and address any issues related to damaged or defective items promptly.
  • Collaboration
  • Collaborate with other departments, including procurement and finance, to coordinate inventory-related activities.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to address inventory-related queries and concerns.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in inventory management and implement best practices.
  • Participate in the development and enhancement of inventory management policies and procedures

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in inventory management or a related field is a plus
  • Proven experience in inventory management or a similar role
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Proficient in the use of inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts) is desirable.
  • Spoken and written fluency in English is mandatory; spoken and written fluency in Mandarin (as a second language) would be preferred
